작품설명

는 엘. 프랑크 바움의 원작 소설 <오즈의 마법사>를 오즈 땅의 마녀들의 관점에서 재 해석한 동명의 베스트셀러 소설 을 원작으로 하고는 뮤지컬이다.

뮤지컬은 글린다와 엘파바의 이야기를 말해주고 있는데 이들은 결국 북쪽의 선한 마녀와 서쪽의 나쁜 마녀가 된다는 이야기이다. 이 줄거리는 1939년 영화 버전에도 언급되어 진 내용이다. 브로드웨이의 성공에 이어 시카고, LA, 런던의 웨스트 엔드 등에서 공연되어 졌다.
